How to Prepare Your Garage Before Coating Day

What You Need to Move

Vehicles, tools, storage bins, and anything sitting directly on the floor need to be out of the garage entirely before the crew arrives β€” even overnight parking in the driveway works. Wall-mounted shelving and cabinets can usually stay if they're mounted high enough to clear the grinding equipment; we'll confirm this on your estimate.

Appliances and Utilities

If you have a garage refrigerator, freezer, or workbench with a power tool station, plan to disconnect and temporarily relocate it. We'll work around a water heater or HVAC equipment that's permanently installed, but we do need clear floor access around the base.

Garage Door and Access

We need the garage door operational for ventilation and material staging during grinding. If your opener is being replaced or serviced around the same time, let us know so we can sequence the work.

Pets and Children

Grinding day is loud and dusty despite our containment system, and the epoxy/polyaspartic materials shouldn't be handled by anyone not on the crew. Keep pets and kids out of the garage for the full installation window.

What We Handle

  • Full dust-contained diamond grinding and cleanup
  • Crack chasing and patch repair before coating
  • Masking of walls, door tracks, and adjacent trim
  • Disposal of grinding debris and packaging materials
